Pebble Mosaic Spa & Wet Rooms
Sliced pebble across all wet-room floors for barefoot grip and comfort, with honed Sukabumi green stone on the walls — a pairing that gives the rooms their green cast without any coloured lighting.
Project detail
Fourteen treatment rooms and four shared wet rooms, all with floors falling to a central waste. Sliced pebble was the specification because the many grout joints let a floor fall in two directions without visible faceting, which large-format tile cannot do.
The wall material was chosen for what it does to the light rather than for its own appearance: honed Sukabumi green bounces a soft green cast into the room, so the space reads green without any tinted lighting.
Grout quantity was the practical lesson from this project. Pebble takes roughly three times the grout of flat tile, and the initial site order was short by half.
